History and What We Do
Könyves Blower Motor Ltd. is one of the world’s leading manufactures of pipe organ blow motors. Established in 1994, Könyves has focused on engineering and manufacturing blowers producing 60-120 mm of water column pressure designed specifically for the operation of pipe organs.
Manufacturing Location and Service Provider
Könyves manufactures motors of various rotation speeds and housing dimensions accommodating a wide range pipe organs. Könyves motors are all designed and engineered in-house at their manufacturing facility located in Vamosszabadi, Hungary, approximately 120km northwest of the nation’s capital, Budapest. Könyves blower motors are sold internationally to organ builders and service providers across the globe. PSB Integration Inc, located in Winnipeg, Canada is the manufacturer’s agent for Könyves Blower Motors in North America.
Könyves uses high quality components and some of the most innovative manufacturing processes including the use of Haas CNC (Robotic) machines for blower components.
The LVM and LVM2 motor housings are made of sheet-metal. The LVM4 housings are welded sheet metal. Noise isolating and vibration damping lining is applied to the interior of the housings. The inlet chamber is welded sheet metal and also treated with a noise isolating and vibration damping material, including a closing flap and guard on the lower side.
Könyves designed and engineered electrical motors are available in single-phase or 3-phase, and 120/240v operation and utilize sleeve bearings producing very little noise. The motor footings are made of cast aluminum and include 4 rubber legs. The outside surface of the blowers are powder coated silver for a very durable long lasting finish.
Könyves motors must past a rigorous quality assurance check to ensure each motor operates at precisely the published specifications. The motors are recognized for achieving optimized performance (wind pressure and volume) while using nominal motor output. The motors are guaranteed for a period of 3 years from the date of purchase.
